Abstract

Enterprise benefits management has become increasingly complex as organizations support diverse workforces, multiple benefit programs, changing regulatory requirements, and growing employee expectations for personalized and immediate services. Traditional benefits administration systems often rely on fragmented data sources, manual workflows, repetitive employee inquiries, and limited analytical capabilities, creating operational inefficiencies and increasing the risk of errors. This paper proposes an intelligent workforce operations framework that integrates Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) with secure Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) architecture to modernize enterprise benefits management. The proposed approach combines natural-language interaction, retrieval-augmented generation, automated workflow orchestration, predictive analytics, role-based access control, encryption, auditability, and privacy-preserving data practices within a scalable cloud environment. The research examines how GenAI can assist employees and benefits administrators while maintaining appropriate security, governance, and human oversight. A mixed-method research methodology is proposed, incorporating literature analysis, system architecture assessment, stakeholder perspectives, and evaluation of operational and security metrics. The framework is designed to improve benefits accessibility, reduce administrative workload, enhance decision support, and strengthen compliance without replacing human accountability. The study contributes a conceptual model for organizations seeking to implement intelligent benefits operations while balancing automation, personalization, data protection, explainability, and enterprise governance
