Policies

The International Journal of Computer Technology and Electronics Communication (IJCTECE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic publishing. The following policies guide our editorial practices, peer review process, and author responsibilities.

1. Manuscript Submission Policy

Authors must submit original, unpublished work via email to ijctece@gmail.com. Submissions must not be under review elsewhere. Manuscripts should conform to the formatting and structural requirements detailed in the Author Guidelines. Any submission that does not meet these standards may be desk rejected.

2. Peer Review Policy

IJCTECE follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality. Submissions are first reviewed by an editor for scope and quality, then sent to qualified reviewers. The typical review period is 3 to 4 days. Editorial decisions are based on reviewer recommendations and overall merit of the work.

3. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Policy

We expect all parties (authors, reviewers, and editors) to adhere to ethical standards, including:

· No plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate submissions

· Proper citation of sources

· Accurate reporting of results

· Honest authorship representation
Violations will result in retraction or rejection and may be reported to relevant institutions.

4. Copyright and Licensing Policy

Upon acceptance, authors may be required to transfer copyright to the journal. IJCTECE publishes articles under a standard copyright model or optional Creative Commons licenses. Proper credit must always be given when citing or reusing published work.

5. Open Access Policy

IJCTECE is an open-access journal, meaning all published articles are freely accessible online without subscription. This promotes global visibility and accessibility of authors' work. Article Processing Charges (APCs) may apply; these are clearly communicated to authors upon acceptance.

6. Plagiarism and Similarity Check Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate). A similarity index above 20% may lead to immediate rejection. Authors are encouraged to check their papers before submission to avoid unintentional duplication.

7. Conflict of Interest Policy

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that may bias their work or decisions. Full transparency ensures the integrity of the publication process.

8. Data Sharing and Reproducibility Policy

Authors are encouraged to make research data, code, and supplementary materials publicly available when possible. Data repositories or appendices can be used to support reproducibility and transparency. A data availability statement should be included if applicable.

9. Privacy and Confidentiality Policy

IJCTECE respects the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Author identities and reviewer reports are kept confidential. Personal data collected through submissions will not be shared with third parties without consent.

10. Retraction, Correction, and Withdrawal Policy

The journal has a clear process for handling:

· Retractions in cases of academic misconduct or serious error

· Corrections for factual errors discovered post-publication

· Withdrawals upon justified request before peer review
All changes will be documented transparently on the article’s record.
