Cloud-enabled agentic intelligence is emerging as a transformative paradigm for enterprise data engineering and operational automation by combining cloud computing, artificial intelligence, autonomous agents, and data-driven decision-making. Traditional enterprise data pipelines generally depend on predefined workflows, manually configured rules, and periodic human intervention, which can limit their ability to respond effectively to changing data characteristics, operational requirements, and business conditions. Agentic intelligence introduces autonomous software agents capable of perceiving enterprise environments, reasoning over heterogeneous data, planning actions, executing workflows, and learning from operational feedback. When integrated with scalable cloud infrastructure, these capabilities can support adaptive data ingestion, transformation, quality management, monitoring, orchestration, anomaly detection, and automated remediation. This paper investigates a conceptual methodology for developing cloud-enabled agentic intelligence for adaptive enterprise data engineering and operational automation. The proposed approach integrates cloud-native data platforms, large language models, machine learning, knowledge representations, agent orchestration, event-driven architectures, and governance mechanisms. The methodology emphasizes autonomous decision-making while retaining human oversight for high-impact operations. It also considers security, privacy, explainability, interoperability, and reliability as essential design requirements. The study proposes evaluation dimensions including pipeline adaptability, processing efficiency, data quality, automation effectiveness, resource utilization, and operational resilience. The framework provides a foundation for organizations seeking to modernize enterprise data operations through intelligent, scalable, and continuously adaptive automation.
